SAF2020 X YOU: Online Initiatives
Thank you for your continued support and interest in our online activities over the past 3 months. We have really enjoyed creating and sharing exciting content with you, while also pondering the best way forward for us in these most challenging and unusual of circumstances.
We will be taking a break from our online programming while we work on something new and fresh to bring to you in September. Do stay tuned!
In the meantime, over this period, we will be happy to share with you the numerous initiatives, programmes, seminars and courses which our extended universe of artists, curators, and collaborators are working on.
We’ll see you again very soon!
Until then, check out some of out past online initiatives below!
If you could send a letter to yourself, across the wide leap of time and take a moment to ponder—what would you like to say to your future self? Join us in a collective project that seeks to preserve our evolving understandings of these times. Write a letter addressed to your future self, which will be showcased on our digital platform and at Serendipity Arts Festival 2021.
The Memory Capsule Project
As we entered the 55th day of lockdown with restrictions easing in some places, perhaps the only thing which hadn’t changed in the last 8 weeks was a sense of uncertainty. There were days of worry, and days of hope. Through it all, we had been lucky to remain connected with our family, friends, colleagues, and the outside world through an increasingly important tool – the Internet. Our lives had taken on new forms, new routines, new ways of interacting, learning, reading, and being. How would we move forward? This question loomed large on all of our minds. At Serendipity, we remained committed to keep the conversation around the arts going, and for 5 weeks, we brought you a How To Series in which we re-visited past projects, pondered over our present lives, and thought big with future dreams in a series of newsletters and online conversations ranging from scenography to sound, storytelling to reading, performance to technology and so much more in between.
At Serendipity Arts Foundation, we were inspired by the resilience and strength of the arts community, in offering kindness, hope and a dash of the arts to the wider public even as we collectively experienced these strenuous times. We wanted to thank the arts community for their efforts in keeping the arts alive and roaring! In this vein, we invited you to SAF 2020 x You. For 6 days, we curated, collaborated, and created a multi-disciplinary cross section of the arts, both regional and international, in an online festival of sorts.
